There is simply no value put on words. We freely speak them. We write them and speak them out loud, without any thought of the value or harm they may cause. Words, can create within one person to have hope and courage that helps them live a happy life while another person lives a poor and very unhappy life. Words can open doors and can also close them. A few words can destroy a life or breathe new life into a despairing one. Words can fill a person full of hope or of misery.
Words can build up a person’s belief in themselves or break them like a fragile glass. Most people do not value their words. They often misuse them, which allows the power of their words to work against them. They want to go in one direction, but their words push them in another. This conflict is what most people battle with each day. They ask God to grace their lives with favor, health, and abundance, but their words keep them in a life full of disappointment, sickness, and lack.
Winston Churchill understood the power of words. In his speeches, and his writings, he expressed his vision for the world in the following:
We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.
His speeches rallied the UK to fight and keep fighting against Nazi Germany!
Unfortunately, Hitler also knew how to use his words to energize his troops to overcome great resistance to overwhelming successes in battle.
But how do words affect you and I, normal people who go along with our own lives, you might ask??
I thought I would turn to the Internet and check to see what others have written about the Power of Words. The remaining is what I have found interesting and that might of value to any of you reading my blog.
The Law of Attraction is mired within the words that we use, we are told. So, choose wisely.
Our thoughts can never become our reality, until the words are spoken! Hum….so let’s watch our words.
On the following website, I found a few paragraphs that explain exactly what I was thinking, so instead of trying to create the knowledge with my own words, I have decided to copy and paste the following. But I want to ensure that the credit goes to the following website - Law of Attraction.com.
In writing my blog, I am not in the habit of copying and pasting someone’s work (well a bit, sometimes…), but the following is exactly what I wanted to impart to my readers’.
“Words consist of vibration and sound. It is these vibrations that create the very reality that surrounds us. Words are the creator; the creator of our universe, our lives, our reality.”
As a society, we have become conditioned to talk about our misfortunes and problems. We take our interpretations of events, people and ourselves and communicate them to the world, bringing them into existence.
So by that admission, when we moan or complain about our lives to others, we are putting those negative words out there to become a reality. When you say something out loud enough times your words become the truth not only in your own mind but in the minds of everyone you are saying them too.
If this is really so, then ask yourself – do you really want to tell yourself and everybody that you know that you are unlucky in love, unsuccessful, miserable, bored or whatever else you have been complaining about? Especially now that you know that it is these exact words that are creating the life that you live?
Begin to choose the words that you speak consciously. Practice improved self-awareness over the words that you use to describe yourself and your life. Negative, powerless words such as ‘can’t’, ‘shouldn’t’, ‘need’, ‘won’t’ should all be avoided. They strip you of your ability to manifest a life that you want to live.
As the creator of your universe, what you say goes. Therefore, next time you catch yourself about to use negative words, regain control and frame your word choices so that they have a much more positive impact on your world.
For example, if you would usually say something such as ‘I am unhealthy and overweight’ then why not turn this into a more positive, constructive statement such as ‘I am in the process of becoming healthier and every day I get closer and closer to my ideal weight’.
Your words are the paint with which you paint your reality. Choose those words wisely and positively to create a reality that is good for you.”
So basically, the words you use have immense power - ENERGY. It’s energy that emboldens you or can strip out of your own power. So, keep your energy for its greatest good for you and those that surround you on a daily basis!
Reiki Blessings,
Suzanne
